Samsung Just Took Windows To a Hol Nutha Levuhl!

CES 2012 has had some seriously cool new gadgets that have come out but my favorite has to be the new window by Samsung.  Why is this my favorite you ask?  Simply because windows are not very amazing on their own.  However, if you’re Samsung, and you take it to a hol nutha levuhl, they suddenly become amazing.  That is the beauty of technology.

The one thing that caught my ear the most was the “Energy Efficiency” of this product.  They supposedly have a solar aspect built into the window that will help power the electronics inside the window.  If this works as described it sounds pretty cool, but I would want to dive more into it before that became a reason for me to buy it.  I would hate for it to be just another marketing ploy.

Bottom line is , CES has done it again, and it is good to see that manufactures see the need to include green aspects to their products.  With the technology companies having the ability to drastically improve their products from year to year, the more the public yearns for energy efficiency and environmentally friendly features, the better they will be, and the sooner they will be available to the public.

Santa Won’t Come To Your House, Unless…

Do you wrap your house in electricity suckers to increase that jolly feeling in your tummy?  Having 100, 5 watt Xmas lights light up on your home for 6 hours a day, for the holiday season, can consume around 207 KwH according to GoCompare.  With the Average US Household consuming around 50 KwH per day, that is an extra 4 days of electricity per year.

So ask yourself, is it really worth it?  Some would say it is, so the solution is just to use better lights.  Rather than going to the attic to get your 50 year old energy suckers, head to the store and pick up some energy efficient LED Xmas lights.

Think about it, Santa doesn’t even use lights on his sleigh.  He wouldn’t even use a flashlight on a foggy night.  He is so energy efficient, he used an animal with a red nose to get the job done.  So if you want your stocking to be full this year, you best think LED.

Are you just starting out in the protesting game?  Berkeley is famous for speaking their mind, but where do these protesting skills come from?  I am thinking they had some help along the way.  All I know is that if you are going to learn how to get your message to the people, you will want to be taught by the best.  Check out the master himself in the video above.

It is clear that ninja’s have it all figured out.  So this video really speaks for itself.  However, the fact that we are even asking ninja’s what they think about the environment really shows how well the message of climate change has gotten out there.  If the need to do something about the environment has made it all the way into the shadows, we have to be close to a solution…
