We are two weeks in to the new year, and it would seem New Years resolutions are destined for NEXT year!  I know I have already managed to convince myself I don’t really want to be healthy anyway…  Life always seems to get in the way, or is it that tricky cortisol again, messing with my mind…?

How are you doing with your New Years resolution?  Have you found your desire to make a big change fizzle a bit, or are you kicking butt and moving right along?  Please share your ups and downs from the last two weeks of positive change!  I would love some motivation to get me back on track.  Of course, someone to wallow with does the trick too!

New Years Resolutions Fail Because 97% of People are INSANE!!

by Adam December 29th, 2011 - No Comments »

So are you really going to do it this time?  Are you really going to get in shape?  I always seem to tell myself I will do something and stick to it, and that lasts for about 2 weeks.  I think I have figured out where I am going wrong.  I keep trying to do it on my own.

I have always been more consistent when training with someone.  Unfortunately life tends to get in the way, and suddenly schedules for training partners just don’t match.  Then there is boredom.  Doing the same thing over and over again, after about 3 months, makes it hard to conjure up the desire to get to the gym.

This year I am going to make it happen, a true lifestyle change.  I just joined my local Crossfit, and in the last two weeks, I can already feel a huge difference.  The difference is not only in my body, but my attitude towards my workouts.  I am excited to go because I will be working out with like minded people, and I know it is going to be different than yesterday.

The sad truth is that the pregnant lady in the video is in a lot better shape than I am, and I just won’t stand for it.  So take charge of what you want this year, and don’t just do it the same as last time.  The definition of insanity as I have learned it is to do the same thing again and again expecting a different result.  Your resolution this year should just be to do it differently, and the results will come.
