Disposable Diapers that are Biodegradable!

by Jason October 24th, 2007 - 4 Comments »

wheat.jpgMontreal based Lysac Group Inc developed a new material that’s biodegradable and absorbent.

The new material will be used in diapers as of 2008. Traditional disposable diapers are made with oil-based polyacrylates. This new super absorbent material is made with wheat starch and is edible in small quantities. lol

They replaced the oil with something natural, similar to what we did with our natural memory foam. aaaa Very nice, high five.

A green diaper….it’s about time :D

I have no clue. Lysac Group Inc, from what i can tell, does not have a website. If you’re really interested the best bet it to look for in once in a while.

Once i know i’ll post their info here.

There are however another alternatives such as the flushable diaper.
