Wind Turbines Not a Threat to Bird Populations

by Angela October 3rd, 2008 - No Comments »

Wildlife conservation groups have voiced concerns about how wind energy farms can threaten bird populations.  British researchers studied 23 species around 2 large wind farms in Britain and came to the conclusion that only one species, the partridge, was affected by the wind turbines.

This is great news for alternative energy companies, nature conservationists, and policy makers and could mean the green light for many future wind energy projects.
