
Toyota has really kicked their green cred up a notch by developing flower species which specialize in offsetting carbon. These derivatives of the cherry sage and gardenia families will lower the surface temperature around the factory for the company’s popular hybrid, the Prius.
The Prius has drawn fire in the past for using more carbon dioxide in its production than standard, petroleum-based vehicles, a criticism that is blown away as soon as the low-emission vehicle hits the road. More on the new carbon-offsetting flower species at Autoblog Green.
