Big kudos to the BBC for putting together this page on where each world leader stands on climate change. Some highlights:
-The Middle East, Kenya, India and the Dominican Republic all take the issue of climate change much more seriously than the United States.
-Under Kyoto, China was a “developing country” signatory and was therefore not obliged to cut emissions.
-There is a huge rich country/developing country debate as to who has to cut what, kind of like a game of musical chairs world leaders are playing with our planet.
-The US is actually only fifth in the world when it comes to carbon emissions per person.
Does anyone know of a more extensive resource where the same facts are broken down by country? Please post in the comments section if you do.
