Patagonia Opening First Canadian Retail Store in Toronto

by Angela December 1st, 2010 - 1 Comment »

Up until now, outdoor clothing buyers have been limited to a few choices if they were going for clothes that were sold by an eco-conscious organization. Now, Toronto dwellers will be able to purchase Patagonia products offline at the historic Gurney Stove building at 500 King Street West. The eco-conscious retailer has used only organically grown cotton in its clothing lines since 1996, and has given away more than $38 Million to environmental organizations since its inception in 1985.

Each store has a grant program designed to give away money to local environmental organizations, and the Toronto store will be no exception. They offer clothing and gear tailored to specific sports, including surfing, yoga, and fly fishing among others. They also offer attractive casual clothing made from 100% organic cotton. Check them out when you can, Toronto!
