A new year starts soon, and it’s time to resolve to replace at least one conventional thing you use every day with something organic. If you are going to make a commitment to do it, do some research to find out what the best product is for the environment and the one you like the most. The following organic and natural toothpastes and other dental cleaning products are some of my favourites. If you have any that you’d like to suggest, please feel free to leave them in the comments section.
All of these companies make a fluoride-free option if you are trying to avoid it.
Tooth Soap
Gluten-free, chemical-free and certified kosher, Tooth Soap does nothing but organic dental cleaning products. They’re also giving out free shipping throughout the month of December to both US and Canada. They’ve just launched a Peppermint and Hemp Whip flavour for the adventurous.
Green Beaver
Yeah, some of these toothpaste flavours look kind of funky. But I can testify for Green Apple and Frosty Mint.
Weleda Natural Toothpaste for Kids
This fluoride-free formula is gentle on gums and is well-reviewed on Amazon. Not surprising; I’ve never met a Weleda product I didn’t like. If you have dry skin and you haven’t tried their Skin Food yet, run, do not walk to your nearest health food store or purchase it online.

Fluoride-free toothpaste for kids (!), REALLY?
I understand that you intend to be pro-environment and pro-public health, but the anti-fluoridation campaign you’ve got going on this website is as anti-science as telling people not to vaccinate their children.
I have tried very hard to provide you with some actual information when you promoted this earlier, in the comments here — http://www.myessentia.com/blog/blog/2011/10/24/ways-to-cut-down-your-fluoride-intake/ — but it seems my pleas are falling on deaf ears.
You’re free to promote what you want, of course, but all you’re doing now is spreading lies and misinformation, thinking you’re doing a public good because you’re too lazy to go out and actually learn about fluoride and public health. Consider this the end of my following your blog.
