I’ll be honest, I haven’t yet read David Suzuki’s book, “The Legacy”. I plan on doing so soon, and hope to see him speak when he lands in my neck of the woods in a couple of weeks. Check the tour dates to see if he will be in your area soon. During these speaking engagements, which are quite inexpensive to attend, he will be doing the following in the words of the Legacy website:
“In these appearances, David Suzuki reflects on the massive changes in the world within his living memory – from explosive population growth, to massive technological developments, to the establishment of a global economy. Ultimately, he expresses his faith in human beings’ capacity for innovation and he urges us all to dream of a better world and to make it happen.”
I am hoping that this helps to fuel my appetite for activism on the part of the environment and in politics, and I am sure it will do the same for anyone that attends.
