Playing light Jazz music in its nicely decorated stairwell while incorporating a fully equipped gym and an outdoor fitness path to the mix, topped with a LEED Platinum certified garnish. This little 63 unit CO-OP in the Bronx makes you wanna sing.
Melody is its name.
Located in the Longwood section of the Bronx, Melody is the first residential building built in compliance with the NYC Active Design Guidelines. These guidelines give architects and builders a guide to building spaces geared toward an active lifestyle with the intention of combating obesity. With Numerous Green Features including wood flooring with Hevea Core (reclaimed rubber trees) this building makes me wanna sing too. “aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh…” the chorus of angels as the light turns on. It can be done!
And did I forget? It’s affordable. If you make too much you won’t qualify. HAHA! That is a first.
Actually I lied. If you make too much you are denied public health insurance as well.
Maybe we wouldn’t need public health insurance as much if we all had LEED Platinum and NYC Active Design Certified buildings to live in.
All of you who are gonna live in Melody congrats! Make sure you climb those festive stairs even though you do have an elevator, because my stairs are boring by comparison.
