It’s no secret that the internet and social media has changed the way we live. Seriously, you can follow along with every aspect of any large event happening in the world today, and its no different for the London 2012 Olympic games.
As interesting as the Olympic games are, its always nice to have a good dose of comedy and thankfully there is no shortage of moments immortalized in internet history.
Here are my favorite funny Olympic moments:
The L2012 Pool Camera twitter feed. Yes, the camera is actually at the bottom of the pool! Not only do you get amazing photos, but the tweets are so witty and funny! I think swimming is my favorite olympic event….
This GIF of Michael Phelps mom…she thought he won the 200m butterfly, and then was told “he’s second” by the woman on her left….The situation may not be ideal, but the face is priceless! Anyone remember dramatic chipmunk?
These are Aly Raisman’s parents during her floor gymnastics routine….they look more like they’re on the Jurrasic Park ride at universal studios! SB Nation has the video with audio…so good!
Last but not least this picture deserves a gold medal! These are photos of Olympic divers taken mid jump, which are funny enough…but some genius on reddit decided to make it in to the most epic olympic viral photo this year! Cudos to you friend, this one is all day entertainment!
