Green Sheet Helps Beat The Fever Heat

If you have been following my blog, you know I am not the most exciting person.  You say, “Lets go to the beach,” and say I “meh…”  You say, “Lets go bungee jumping,”  and I say “meh…”  Well folks, lets add another one to the list…  Cruise ships seemed like a pretty safe bet, but it turns out now we are having trouble steering them…

I went on a Disney Cruise when I was 13 and I have to say, it was a pretty good time.  Now that I am an adult and am able to partake in the finer things in life (alcohol), the no free alcohol policy has me thinking the local indian casino is a better buy.

With all that said, the biggest reason to stay away from cruise ships is all the bacteria that is waiting to force your bowels to evacuate that cheeseburger you ate three weeks ago.  Cruise ships are notorious for lending their passengers a quality case of Norovirus.  Norovirus is a most relaxing gastrointestinal virus that is sure to have you quarantined to your porcelean throne for the entire trip.

There is one way that you can save yourself (or attempt to) from your losing battle with “Noro the Terdinater.”  The CDC produces something called “The Green Sheet,” where they score cruise ships on their ability to keep their ships clean.  You can check this out ahead (get it..?) of selecting a ship, and give yourself a chance of enjoying your cruise free of gastrointestinal distress!
