I’m wearing sandals and my toes are cold. I thought it was June, isn’t it?!?
It sure doesn’t feel like June, and it’s pretty grey outside, yuck!
Remember when the sun used to come out a lot, early in the year? Or, when you could go swimming in the ocean at the end of June without coming out for a warm cup of coffee? Yes, it was a bit cold, but you didn’t get hypothermia.
Just think, if you went down to Kitsilano beach, or English Bay, and took a swim without a wet suit on, how you’d feel!
Frozen, absolutely frozen!
Heck, if you saw someone going into that frigid water, you’d think that they had lost their mind. ”I thought the polar bear swim was on the 1st of January each year,” you would muse to yourself.
So here’s to better weather, sunnier days, and swimming suits, soon please!!!!
Here’s to those things called BBQ’s and sun tanning sessions. Oh vitamin D, where art thou!
And most of all, sun please come out and stay a bit, the Vancouverites need to smile more.
We are looking forward to theatre under the stars, mass water fights in stanley park and many beach visits!
