Smoking Ban in NYC

“Joy to the World…”

Actually, joy comes to New York City in the form of a Bill.

Remember when it used to be easier to breathe and Asthma wasn’t a commonly discussed affliction? Well, future Summer fun might be easier to inhale.

February 2, 2011 the New York City Council voted to ban the practice of smoking in certain outdoor public places. Some of these places include parks and beaches.

Following in the footsteps of Chicago and San Francisco, we are taking steps toward a healthier environment. Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy the Sun without colliding into puffs of secondhand smoke as they bike, run, and play, or as happy beach-goers stroll to the shore for that all too necessary dip in the ocean on a hot Summer day.

Looking forward to smoke free streets.
