Jeans That Save Water

If you know me personally then chances are you know Levis are pretty much the only brand of jeans I wear. I find their fit to suit me the best and I can throw them on with anything.

Well I went on their website to look for a new pair to add and I saw that their jeans are being made in a green state of mind. As with most fabrics, denim is made using a lot of energy and environmental resources (namely water). In addition, some of the processes like sand blasting and bleaching are harmful to workers and leave a big footprint on the eco system.

Levi WaterLess jeansWell because of that, Levi’s manufactures are making strides to significantly reduce those numbers. They are using water washing techniques that reduce their overall usage and they are saying that this is just the start. They are hoping to save 20 million liters of water a year.

It’ll be pretty interesting to see what they come up with next
