So the games of the London 2012 Olympics are now over, and I have nothing to watch when I just can’t sleep anymore at 5am. Which means no more gems like this one:

*Le Sigh*….I will miss the olympics! But thank you Tom Daley and BBC for your on-air editing that generated my awesome screensaver!
Thankfully, the internet has provided us with Olympic memories, memes and gifs that will forever be immortalized on our blog, right up there with these: funny Olympic moments.
Here are my top 5 Olympic Internet Highlights:
1: McKayla Maroney is not impressed!
The USA Olympic gymnast made this awesome face after winning silver in the individual vault competition. Apparently she was a shoe-in for the gold…oh well, her loss is literally our win! Thank you internet for giving us McKayla is Not Impressed tumblr.
But, even better than a tumblr dedicated to her now famous scowl is McKayla’s reaction which she shared with us on her personal twitter. She recently posted the picture below with the caption: The pool is closed… #NotImpressed!
Obviously this world class athlete takes it all in stride and I love her for it.
2: Mo Farah’s Gold Medal Expression
Mo Farah won the Gold medal for Great Britain in the 5000m race at the London Olympics. Great memory for him and his expression when winning is his gift to us. You can see more great pictures of Mo Farah Running Away from Things on the tumblr that has taken the internet by storm. Seriously I couldn’t decide between the running of the bulls or the Jurrasic Park pic, lots of gold on that page.
3: Synchronized Swimming
Amazing right! I don’t even know what to say, but synchronized swimming is probably the most underrated sport at the Olympics…ok maybe Olympic Race Walking is high up there too (believe me, you want to watch this). How can you not love a sport that provides you with too much makeup and amazing facial expressions.
Sure she looks like a demented clown, but trust me when you need some cheering up this gif will provide hours of laughs!
4: The Spice Girls!!!!
As a child of the 90′s, I sat in my apartment all day waiting and waiting and waiting on this moment…THE moment when the Spice Girls would take the stage once more, and boy was it worth it! Did I surprise myself by remembering every single word to each song? hellz no! I still practice the ‘Wannabe‘ dance routine when I get bored, so this was a very welcome blast from the past.
But in all seriousness, I was always Posh Spice when we would pretend to be the Spice Girls back in the day. Posh Spice was my idol. Look at her! She can’t be bothered to dance with the rest of them, its so Posh I can’t even take it! Amazing!!!
If you missed the closing ceremony for some strange reason, buzzfeed has a pretty funny rundown for you…go ahead click this you know you want to…
5: Stephen Feck fecks up!

Poor Stephen Feck, I feel for you dude. To have this type of performance in a sport that is all about technique and style, it’s quite possible that this will be remembered as the single worst dive in Olympic history. But hey Stephen, look at the bright side at least we’ll remember you and that amazing dive!
Got any moments you think I missed? Let me know!

Not only are you beautiful but what a great sense of humour, love you steph.xxx
