The Environmental Working Group has been releasing a detailed report on the toxicity of popular sunscreen brands for the last five years, and they’re getting a little annoyed that the FDA isn’t doing anything about the worst offenders.
The Report
The 2011 report was just released a couple of weeks ago, ironically just after we wrote a post that advised folks to use their 2010 report to evaluate the best sunscreens to purchase for your families. Since some companies may have gotten better and some may have gotten worse, cruise on over to the 2011 edition to find out which sunscreens you should – and shouldn’t – be purchasing.
The FDA Campaign
Canadians and Americans alike can ask the FDA to stop dragging its feet on regulating the toxic chemicals in sunscreen. Cruise on over here to sign their petition.
