The Olympic torch is in the home stretch in Squamish, British Columbia and environmental activist will be celebrating her 41st birthday by carrying it – on an electric scooter. Tzeporah Berman is particularly proud of being the first Olympic torch bearer to complete her run on a zero emissions vehicle.

Berman is the co-founder of two environmental groups, ForestEthics and Power Up Canada, the latter of which is an advocacy group for clean energy.
