Top 10 Gas Guzzling Vehicle Monsters of North America!

suburban

I usually blog about fuel efficient automobiles. I do this because the cost of gasoline is increasing but mainly due to the fact that there are far too many gas guzzling cars on the road and they are being driven much too much.

I came across an interesting article today on yahoo Canada autos and was amazed to see a list of the worst fuel sucking every day driveable vehicles. Now some of these obvious, luxury sports cars have never been known for their fuel efficiency…until recently, when the Fisker Karma was released. Not that it’s popularity wasn’t made mainstream by the likes of lil Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher’s ride of choice on Two and a Half Men and of course “Mr Green” Leo DiCaprio. Anyhow, I digress.

Check out the mpg’s on the cars in the article, pathetic. I see Suburban’s, Yukon’s, Benzo’s and Ford pick ups on a daily basis…and I don’t just see them, I see them screaming past me meaning they are getting even worse fuel economy than if they were driving at a reasonable speed.

Now we can all agree that fuel efficiency isn’t really on the minds of the enthusiasts that buy these machines, but how are we going to go toward a greener future when these monsters are cruising our streets in droves? We need more hybrids!

In case you aren’t interested in the article here are some numbers: the Bugatti Veyron – 8mpg city/15mpg hwy (LOL, seriously). The more driveable Suburbans and Yukon come in at 10mpg city/15mpg hwy (pathetic), and they come with a monstrous 39 gallon tank, LMAO!

If you’re driving any of the vehicles listed here, get with the program people!
