Just recently, news broke that Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has launched her very own eco-friendly and toxic-free baby products and household items at Honest.com for a monthly subscription! Super cool!

She seems to be quite aware of the fact that there are toxic chemicals in many products these days and that it’s extremely unhealthy for you and for the environment. Word is that she doesn’t want toxic chemicals touching her children.

For the launch of her new business line, she has partnered up with author and environmentalist Christopher Gavigan, the founder of ShoeDazzle, Brian Lee and PriceGrabber.com executive Sean Kane. Sounds amazing!

Lil’ Bean N’ Green – Cafe N’ Play

I had the pleasure of meeting the proprietor of a fantastic little cafe in Leslieville, neighboring our lovely Beaches. Lil’ Bean N’ Green is a cafe/play area for parents and kids. Serving the finest local and organic food as well as a fantastic selection of fresh fruit smoothies, loose-leaf iced teas and organic fair trade coffee.

Complete with natural, non-toxic toys for your little ones to play with. There is an entire playground in the back of the cafe and sitting area at the front where you can relax and mingle with other parents from the neighborhood while your children play in the safety of the play area.

Earth Rangers Eco Fundraising

Earth Rangers gives Canadian children simple tools to make a real difference at home and at school.

The new website is a fund raising kid friendly campaign to protect animals and their habitats. This will hopefully be a top environmental priority for children.

Earth Rangers wants to team up with children and make this a long term goal so the children can protect natural habitats to make sure the long lasting survival of all species in Canada.

Earth Rangers is Canada’s largest non-profit organization and are focused on giving a positive message to children so they will be aware in the importance of protecting biodiversity.
