Learn to be smart about Solar!

by Paul May 4th, 2012 - No Comments »

This Saturday Kortright Centre for Conservation is holding a solar workshop – Consumer’s Guide to Buying a Solar System. For those Ontarians that do not know there is a new program in Ontario offered to home owners looking to go solar. It is called the micro-fit solar incentive program. This program will pay you up to 80 cents a kilowatt. This has been giving the solar industry a nice boost considering they are offering eight times more than what we pay.

Can you and will you make money? Find out everything you need to know tomorrow at the workshop from 10am-12pm. I will be there and I can school you on our amazing All Natural Memory Foam Mattresses!

Almost 100% of the water used for cooling cans in their hydrostatic cookers has been recovered through Campbell Canada‘s Water Recovery Program.

Other areas of the plant that require hot water capture the heat from the cans and in return saves 25 to 40 million litres of water every month.  A Sustainability Committee was formed due to the success of the project and they actively work on new environmental initiatives.
