The Healthy Butcher supplies organic meat for you to cook up your own delicious meals as well as prepared meals that are ready for your oven.  Their food has been produced and prepared as nature intended.  No chemicals, pesticides, additives, etc. just simple, organic, natural foods.

The Healthy Butcher uses and supports local agriculture, including over 75 local GTA farmers.  They inform customers about the benefits of eating a healthy diet and are the first retail store in the province of Ontario to become OceanWise Certified.

The Healthy Butcher continues to deliver on the goodness of organic foods and helps customers make environmentally friendly choices.

Woodbine Entertainment Group

A new state-of-the-art Polytrack racing surface has been installed by Woodbine Entertainment Group at the world famous Woodbine racetrack.

The cost of this project was more than $11 million but comes with some very advantageous outcomes including a reduction in water consumption by 66 million litres every year.  40% reduction in diesel fuel that is consumed by the maintenance equipment.  Storm water management has also been greatly improved.

$11 million shows us how committed Woodbine Entertainment Group is to the environment and protecting it.

Green Thumbs Growing Kids

Green Thumbs Growing Kids offers food growing and environmental programs with 3 Toronto schools and 2 park sites.  The neighborhoods they take place in are all in the east downtown areas of Regent Park, Cabbagetown and St James Town.

Their programs now reach nearly 3000 children from these east downtown neighborhoods each year.  Their school food garden projects are about kids, parents, and plants.

Their mission is to work with children in urban areas, youth and their families to learn about growing and preparing fresh foods as well as cultivating it in an environmentally sustainable manner in hands on programs.

More Green Spaces for Everyone!

With a volunteer base of 10,000 strong, Evergreen has helped 1,600 schools get green with there area.

This non profit organization has planted more than 50,000 shrubs and trees, and has helped 150 youth from surrounding priority neighborhoods make wildflower gardens out of 18 barren plots since 2007.

Evergreen is also working to to facelift the Don Valley Brick Works into a environmental community centre that thrives

Earth Rangers Eco Fundraising

Earth Rangers gives Canadian children simple tools to make a real difference at home and at school.

The new website is a fund raising kid friendly campaign to protect animals and their habitats. This will hopefully be a top environmental priority for children.

Earth Rangers wants to team up with children and make this a long term goal so the children can protect natural habitats to make sure the long lasting survival of all species in Canada.

Earth Rangers is Canada’s largest non-profit organization and are focused on giving a positive message to children so they will be aware in the importance of protecting biodiversity.
