Gaiam has a Wall Shelf Drying Rack that, as the name suggests, mounts on a wall as a wooden shelf, with the dowel drying rack expanding out from beneath accordion-style. The website notes that it can also be used to dry flowers, pasta or herbs.
If you’re looking for something even more compact, neatfreak has a Retractable Clothes Line that can be mounted inside or out. When you’re ready to dry your clothes, simply extend the line up to 15 meters, and then roll it back up once you’re finished.
