We’re so excited that the Holidays are upon us again, and what better way to celebrate than with a bunch of ideas that will keep you cozy through the winter weekends!
First things first, get a jump start on all the holiday gift wrapping! Honestly, my favorite way to wrap presents is holed up in my bedroom with a warm cup of coffee and a plan of action. Always wrap family members in the same household together and organize into easy to deliver piles. Also, laying out everything you have to wrap ahead of time helps you decide the easiest way to wrap them. Can you get away with a gift bag or do you have to hunt down a few empty boxes? Make a checklist to help you along, and if all else fails check out this Buzzfeed list of 23 Tricks to Take the Stress Out of Gift Wrapping. Note from my niece and nephew: wrapping paper is always better than a gift bag!
Secondly, test out your cookie game! With all the eating we do at the holidays deciding on the perfectly indulgent, yet somewhat healthy cookie was a challenge. One we were all too happy to take on… after testing a few recipes we decided that the Oh She Glows Snickerdoodle cookie fit the bill. Perfectly chewy with just the right amount of spice, vegan and gluten free we didn’t feel guilty about over indulging on this one.
Finally, once you’re all wrapped up and have a plate of cookies ready it’s time to cuddle up in bed for a Holiday movie marathon! We’ve already watched A Charlie Brown Christmas, but chances are it’s going to make it into the rotation again. It isn’t a holiday movie list without Elf, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life and basically everything on this epic list of holiday movies by Entertainment Weekly.
We hope you’re ready for a happy holiday season and we look forward to sharing more with you as the month continues.
